Rep. Justin Amash Happy Birthday to Rep. Thomas Massie! #TCOT #RebelAlliance Together!

I don’t know why, but it makes me very happy to see liberty-minded representatives working together. We need to send reinforcements in 2014!

Happy birthday, Thomas!

True friends are hard to come by in Washington. It can be a particularly lonely place when you stand on principle.

That’s why I value my good friend Congressman Thomas Massie so much.

We became friends initially because we share the same principles and have faced the same challenges in D.C. He has stood up against phony budget deals that borrow from our children and grandchildren. And he won’t back down from defending individual liberty and the Constitution.

As I’ve gotten to know Thomas better over the last year-and-a-half, I’ve been pleased to find that I serve with such an intelligent, funny, genuine man–a man of substance and integrity.

And, a nerd.

Check out the attached photo of a slightly younger Thomas on the TV show “Junkyard Wars,” in which his team from MIT (“The Geeks”) created a robot to race around a dry lake bed.

Thomas has become one of my closest friends in Congress. Like me, there have been some rumors that an establishment primary challenger will run against him. We need to keep Thomas Massie in Congress fighting for us.

Thomas’s birthday is THIS MONDAY, January 13. From now through his birthday, his campaign team and some of his friends are hosting a money bomb on his website,

If this is the first time you’ve heard of Thomas, you can find out more about who he is and what he stands for on his website. You also can contribute to his money bomb, which I know both he and I would appreciate. And even if you can’t contribute, you can wish him a happy birthday!

Thanks again for your continued support.

In liberty,
