Few men were fighting for fiscal responsibility: Congressman Jeff Flake (R-Arizona 6) was one of them.
From the start, Jeff Flake was an ardent fighter against earmarks. He was well-known for demanding debates on specific earmarks with the sponsor of that earmark. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, he has become known as the black sheep because of his strong opposition to the wasteful spending in these bills.

(Also, read this old piece at RedState…praising him for his fiscal responsibility: http://archive.redstate.com/stories/congress/the_road_to_recovery_begins_with_jeff_flake_on_appropriations)
So I decided to write this piece because yesterday, Governor Sarah Palin added her voice to a growing list of conservative leaders from the great conservative Jim Demint (R-South Carolina) to new freshmen Senators Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania) and Mike Lee (R-Utah).
(Read about the endorsement here: http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2012/07/19/20120719sarah-palin-endorses-flake-gop-primary.html)
The Club for Growth has endorsed him as well for this senate seat: http://www.clubforgrowth.org/endorsedcandidates/?subsec=0&id=885
Jeff Flake’s opponent, Will Cardon, is a rich millionaire who wants to buy this seat. He has no record that would make us believe he is a conservative. Will Cardon supported tax increases (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw2WNqKs0KA), has problems with immigration issues (http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/news/articles/2012/06/27/20120627wil-cardon-record-job-creation-hiring-questions.html), and supports wasteful spending (http://senateconservatives.com/site/endorsements/2012/az/jeff-flake). Will Cardon would be an disaster for not just Arizona, but the United States of America!
Jeff Flake is already an awesome representative, and LLPH has the confidence he will make an awesome senator. He was a leader for fiscal responsibility before it was cool.
